Goin' to the Lake
Well, I would imagine that by now I've lost any loyal readers I may once have had! But in case there are a few of you still checking in occasionally, I'll post. I guess I've been too busy living my summer to write about it!
Last Friday, our friends called and invited us to the lake, so we slathered on the sunscreen, pulled the beach towels out of the dryer, and slipped on the flip-flops.
The day was gorgeous and the friends were - as always - lots of fun.
Above are Sam and Johanna, below are Micah (on the left), Sam and Micah's BFF.
Despite the spf 30 I had slathered on, I did get a bit of a sunburn but no other casualties were reported.
The kids swam, chased each other into deeper water (just deep enough to thrill the kids but not deep enough to scare the moms), swam races to Mom at the finish line, jumped off the dock, and made sand castles with impenetrable moats.
It was a day to simply enjoy summer. Aaah!

Yes, it was very fun. I notice Kate & Johanna aren't pictured together....maybe that's a good thing. :)
